Selection of winners of the British and Irish Cheese Awards 2026
The British and Irish Cheese Awards is one of the premier exhibitions and competitions for cheese producers in the UK. Its focus is cheeses produced in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales with awards across a number of categories culminating in the Supreme Champion.
The awards take place in March of each year and we will list a selection of the winners in each category after the awards have been annouced.
The Cheese award winners are extensive, we will select a winning cheese from each category to present to you by our cheese expert.
The categories are
SOFT WHITE / RIND WASHED / TERRITORIAL / BLUE / SEMI-SOFT / NEW CHEESE/ SUPREME CHAMPION.

Emma Young is a Cheese Specialist, Consultant & Author from London. She has worked in the Cheese industry since 2009 in retail, wholesale, cheesemaking, judging and now as a teacher and consultant to the cheese industry.
